0. What you get by site type
| Site shape | You will use | Often absent |
|---|---|---|
| Link nav | Home directory, search, maybe blog | Forum/Space |
| Blog | /blog, comments, subscribe |
Heavy nav |
| Community | Forum, Space, feed | — |
| Full | Everything below | — |
1. Account and Me center
- Sign in / register from the site chrome.
- Open Me at
/me(avatar or nickname).
Typical tabs: account/profile, messages, feedback & appeals, forum activity, comments, submissions, saved posts/feed, history, favorites/notes, knowledge base, subscribe.
2. Browse the site
- Home: categories, sites, search engines, light/dark theme.
- Blog
/blog: read, tags/series; comment/save when enabled; Save to my KB. - Feed
/feed: mixed updates. - Search: only content you may read—never other people’s personal notebooks.
- Language switcher: UI only; article bodies stay as authored.
Geek Utility Lab /tools
No sign-in is needed for OG / QR generation, JSON, Markdown preview, regex testing, text cleanup, timestamps, codecs, UTM, Meta / OG inspection, or the web security quick check. Inputs stay in the current browser by default; the OG studio accepts local logos and backdrops. Open the lab from the home sidebar, Focus dock, or site footer.
3. Forum (if on)
/forum: boards, post, reply, bookmark. Save threads to KB when useful. Follow board rules; report abuse.
4. Space (if on)
/space: channels, replies, reactions, pins. Move lasting decisions to KB or forum.
5. Focus /focus (if on)
Todos, pomodoro, calendar, shortcuts, wallpaper. Optional AI assistant respects permissions (no access to others’ private KB). Some data may be browser-local.
6. Knowledge base
Spaces
| Space | Path | You can |
|---|---|---|
| Public | /kb, /kb/w/... |
Read published docs |
| Team | /kb team workspaces |
Read when signed in |
| Personal | /kb/me |
Private notes: create, edit, share one doc |
Personal notebook (/kb/me)
- First visit auto-creates your space.
- Tree on the left, editor on the right.
- Quick inbox → later file into folders.
- Statuses: inbox / draft / organized / archived.
- Save persists Markdown.
Multiple notebooks
Switcher in the top bar; + to create (capped, e.g. 20); rename; delete only empty notebooks; keep at least one. URL may include workspace_id.
Move and order
- Drag siblings to reorder.
- Drop onto a folder to nest.
- Drop onto another notebook strip or use Move to notebook for whole subtrees.
Wiki links and graph
See [[Other note title]]
Jump [[Guide#Install]]
This page [[#Install]]
Use preview to click links. Graph toolbar (branch icon): neighborhood, notebook/all-notebooks map, filter, fullscreen, export JSON. Compact graphs collapse zoom tools—expand when needed; wheel zoom, drag canvas to pan.
Revisions, export, import
Revision history after saves; export personal Markdown ZIP; import from local notes/favorites buttons.
Share one document
- Open article → link icon → Create share link → copy.
- Recipients open
/kb/s/...read-only, no login. - Revoke kills the old URL immediately.
- Not meant for search engines / site search—but anyone with the URL can read it.
On the share page: [Heading](#heading) works; other same-notebook titles show bold but do not open (privacy).
Share a pack (folder or multi-select)
Share many docs with one link:
A — Whole folder
- Select a folder → Share whole folder.
- Copy
/kb/s/p/...and send it. - Includes all non-archived articles under that folder (cap ~50).
- Creating again reuses an active pack for the same folder.
B — Multi-select
- Toolbar link icon enters select mode.
- Check articles → Create pack link → name the pack.
- Copy or revoke the whole pack at once.
Recipients see a left tree of pack items and read-only bodies on the right.
Capture from the site
From blog, forum, or Space (when shown): save into a personal notebook, then edit.
Read public docs
/kb → workspace tree → /kb/w/workspace/doc. Backlinks and graphs may appear at the bottom.
7. Submissions and social
Submit links/content per site rules; comment politely; subscribe to email digests if offered.
7.1 Feedback and moderation appeals
- Use Feedback & appeals in Me, or the site footer, for bugs, suggestions, content corrections, and account issues.
- Removed Space messages, mutes, Space bans, and administrator-hidden forum threads or replies create a visible moderation record.
- You may appeal each active action once within seven days. Approval restores the applicable content or access, and the result arrives in your inbox.
- Content you remove yourself is not an administrator action and does not create an appeal record.
7.2 Space files, polls, and Telegram
- Space accepts images, audio, video, PDF, Markdown, Excel, and ordinary attachments. Images, media, PDF, Markdown, and the first Excel sheet can be previewed. Word and other files download instead. Web pages, scripts, and executables are rejected.
- An image draft can be displayed at sticker size. Synced static Telegram stickers use the same presentation.
- Eligible authors can create polls below Space messages, forum threads, and blog posts. Single/multiple choice, deadlines, and manual closing are supported; voting requires sign-in.
- In a bound channel, use the editor's Send to Telegram button. It renders as
@Geek Assistantwhile using a stable internal marker; legacy@telegramand@tgremain compatible. - Telegram text, images, GIFs, media, and files need an @Bot mention in their caption or a reply to the bot; reply to target media and send only @Bot is also supported. You can also reply to an image, GIF, file, video, audio, or sticker and send
/fwdor/forward. Video stickers are supported; animated.tgsstickers are not supported yet. - Telegram media is served through the site's authorized proxy; Bot tokens and Telegram file URLs are never exposed.
Clearly abusive scam, sexual, gambling, and drug-trade terms are masked rather than deleting the whole submission. Administrator-configured terms follow the same rule.
7.3 Account, security, and notifications
- Personal Center manages profile, devices, login history, inbox, and notification preferences.
- Choose in-app, browser, email, or Telegram delivery for Space mentions/replies and system messages. Browser delivery requires browser permission.
- Administrator accounts may require two-factor authentication. Keep recovery codes private.
- Anonymous Space channels hide the displayed identity only; they do not create anonymous accounts or bypass channel permissions.
- Temporary Space media expires under the channel policy. Move durable material into blog, forum, or knowledge base.
8. Privacy cheatsheet
| Content | Who sees it |
|---|---|
| Your personal KB (default) | Only you |
| Your share links | Anyone with the URL (read-only) |
| Public published KB | Everyone |
| Team KB | Signed-in users |
| Someone else’s personal KB | Nobody else |
9. FAQ
/kb/me needs login? Yes. Public reading is /kb.
Drag does nothing? Use full tree (“all”), not search list; cross-notebook uses drop zones.[[Title]] dead? Preview mode; title must match exactly (case-insensitive).
Can recipients edit? No. Revoke to invalidate.
English UI, Chinese body? Expected—UI locale ≠ content locale.
10. Suggested workflow
- Capture with inbox or “save to KB”.
- Weekly: folders + notebooks (Work / Study).
- Link notes with
[[wikilinks]]; use graph for orphans. - Share one page when needed; revoke after.
- Periodic ZIP export backup.
11. Ask an admin when…
You can’t register/login; submissions stuck; abuse reports; wrong public docs you can’t edit; a feature seems missing (module off).
Aligned with knowledge base P1–P16. Button labels follow the active UI language.
